Cancelling your order

You may cancel your order (or any part of it) before it enters the packing and shipping process. Please note that if the products you have ordered have already been processed/despatched, you will need to return them in accordance with the provisions set out below. Please note that if you decide to cancel your order but have already downloaded the digital file, we will be unable to refund your order.

Returning unwanted orders

You may return items within 30 days of receipt, provided that the product is returned within its original shipping packaging, unopened, in its original condition, with the shrink-wrap intact. We are unable to accept returns for orders older than 30 days.

Please note that you will be responsible for the return shipping costs unless we delivered the item to you in error, or the item is damaged or defective (see below). 

If you refuse delivery and your order is returned to the UK, any refund would be deducted with the couriers return and processing fee.

Damaged or faulty goods

In the unlikely event that any product you purchase is damaged or faulty when delivered to you, or is not what you ordered, we may offer an exchange or refund as appropriate, in accordance with your legal rights if reported within 30 days of receipt.

If you believe a product is faulty or was damaged prior to its arrival at your address, please email us at hello@bitmapbooks.com and we will be happy to investigate. Please include clear photos of any damage, including the outer packaging. We will review photos supplied and at our discretion make a decision on whether a replacement or partial refund is appropriate.

If any outer packaging shows signs of impact and a product is damaged during shipping, Bitmap Books will raise a claim with the relevant shipping company. Please email us at hello@bitmapbooks.com and include clear photos of any damage, including the outer packaging. The shipping company will review photos supplied and at their discretion will make a decision on whether a replacement order will be sent.

Our policy on damaged products does not affect your statutory rights.

Refunds

If you cancel your order, it must be returned in the original shipping packaging, shrink wrapped and undamaged within 30 days of purchase. The purchase price will be refunded in full to the debit/credit card or PayPal/Apple Pay account used for the purchase. This will take 2–3 days, plus your own bank’s processing time, which may be 4–7 days. Please note that if you decide to return your book but have already downloaded the digital file, we will be unable to refund your order.

Exchanges

If you wish to exchange items on your order, they must be returned in the original shipping packaging, shrink wrapped and undamaged within 30 days of purchase. Email us at hello@bitmapbooks.com and let us know which book you would like in exchange. Note that an additional shipping fee would be charged. Please note that if you have already downloaded the digital file, we will be unable to exchange your order.

How to return an item

Please email us at hello@bitmapbooks.com if there are any queries or concerns, as noted above.

Until such time as the product(s) are returned to us, you must retain possession of the item(s) and take reasonable care of them.

For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service. We also advise that you obtain a certificate of posting and retain this for your records. Any damage caused by your shipping company is your responsibility, and we advise that you take out sufficient postal insurance to cover the value of the returned products. We cannot accept damaged returns.
