Data we collect
When placing an order at www.bitmapbooks.com, you’re required to provide a full name, shipping address, email and telephone number. All our shipping is tracked, so a telephone number is necessary for tracking details to be sent. An email address is also essential, so Bitmap Books can get in touch regarding your order if necessary.

Your name, shipping address, email and telephone number are then passed onto a third party shipping company such as The Royal Mail, DPD or DHL. Each one of these companies will have their own privacy policy for data processing.

Bitmap Books will never share your personal information with any other third parties.

All other data, such as financial card details, are stored within the Shopify website. This data is secure and private. See Shopify’s privacy policy (https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy) for further details on how this data is used and stored.

You can request that your personal data is erased by emailing us.

Klarna
In order to offer you Klarna’s payment methods, we might in the checkout pass your personal data in the form of contact and order details to Klarna, in order for Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment methods and to tailor those payment methods for you. Your personal data transferred is processed in line with Klarna’s own privacy notice.

Mailing list
When placing an order, you will not automatically be added to our newsletter list. The checkout process has an ‘opt in’ check box for this purpose. If you opt in, we can keep you up to date with the latest news, announcements and stock alerts. These newsletters will be sent via Mail Chimp and will rarely be sent more than once a month.

Each email has a clear ‘unsubscribe’ option if you’d prefer to not receive again. Alternatively, simply email us and ask to be removed.
